Lynne Marie Morris

Lynne Marie (Ball) Morris, 74, of Hobart, Oklahoma passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 4, 2022 at Elkview General Hospital.

She was born on March 13, 1948 to Lloyd and Ruemelle (Dietrich) Ball in Sentinel, Oklahoma.

Lynne grew up and attended school in Rocky. She enjoyed playing basketball and was very proud to be a Rocky Buffalo.

She graduated from Rocky High School in 1966. Three months later, on August 14, 1966, she married the love of her life Jimmy Morris in Vernon, TX.

Lynne and Jimmy moved back home to run the family farm and dairy in 1975.

Lynne opened her own boutique, Etc. by Lynne, “in beautiful downtown Hobart” a phrase that was coined with the help of her young grandson Tyler for her radio ads.

Getting to know her customers and spending time in her store was something she always enjoyed.

In 2001, she was asked to be the Kiowa County Election Secretary where she served until her retirement in 2021.

She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Hobart, PEO and Beta Sigma Phi.

Survivors include: Her son Jeff and wife Jana of Hobart, grandson Tyler and wife Talor of Bartlesville and grandson Cort of Stillwater.

She is also survived by her brother Larry and wife Dorita Ball of Cordell and brother Brad Ball of Norman, in addition to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy, infant son Mark and parents Lloyd and Ruemelle Ball.
