Now on the 22nd day of April 2024, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Goeringer calling the meeting to order.

Chairman Goeringer asked Kristen Dowell, County Clerk, for roll call. Roll call was answered by Gossen, present; Goeringer, present; Chandler, present.

The Board reviewed the minutes of the previous regular meeting. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve the minutes as presented. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve the blanket purchase orders as filed in the County Clerk’s Office. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve the payroll for all county employees for the month of April. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Gossen, yes.

The Board discussed open enrollment for health, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance for all county employees. Open enrollment will be held on May 7th and 8th at the Washita County Activity Center. No action was taken.

Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve the request for the Solid Waste grant as follows: District 1 – dump roll-off dumpster for $6,000.00; District 2 – chainsaws for $3,500.00 and dump roll-off dumpsters for $6,000.00; District 3 – dump roll-off dumpsters. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve the agreement between Purple Wave and Washita County for the sale of equipment of the following equipment on the Purple Wave Internet Auction for District 1: D348-0018 – 1982 Nutall Lowboy Trailer, D322-0009 – 2010 Sheet Pile Driver, D307-0081 – 2012 John Deere Motor Grader, D322-0003 – Pile Driver Hammer, concrete drag spreader, clamshell bucket, dredge drag bucket, Crosby swivel, and assorted crane attachments.
